Notes about the artist (from bio):
Anna Garforth works with recycled and natural media, so far her sustainble artworks have been used for public events, community projects, workshops, campaigns, publications and exhibitions.
With a strong background in design and illustration, her green and nifty fingers work moss into beautiful lettering, bark into animals and rubbish into typographic wonder.

Top: Rethink
Client: Arte TV, medium: Leaves and thorns, and location: London.
Project : “Rethink.” Arte TV Germany, filmed Anna Garforth creating this leafy piece for a programme on green street art. Four hours, 1000 thorns and hundreds of leaves later Rethink was stitched onto the railings next to Regents Canal.



Love Your Street
Client: Squire & Partners, medium: Yellow pages, and location: London.
Project: Squire & Partners held a street party during the London Festival of Architecture 2010. The event celebrated LFA’s “Love your Street” theme. Anna Garforth was commissioned to create an installation for the event to liven up an old rusty wall.


Change
Client: Self-initiated, medium: Autumn leaves and thorns, and : London
Project : “Change.” Leaves and thorns were used to create a seasonal artwork depicting change.


Trashtype
Client: LCC, medium: recycled rubbish, and location: London.
Project : “Trashtype.” Anna Garforth and Eleanor Stevens taught a workshop for design students at London College of Communication, turning rubbish into a typographic installation.
