
Ashley Mackensie’s illustration entitled “Cracked” (at top), was created for a school assignment that required interpreting an article about bullying. “The hairline cracks represent the subtle damage that bullying causes, and if not handled with care, they could easily shatter. I used graphite and scratch-board and combined the two surfaces in Photoshop with some minor touch-ups,” [1] states Mackensie.
