Man Falls in Love with the Moon

Surreal Moon on Water by Leonid Tishkov

As I look at the photo at top, it reminds me of a Rene Magritte’s surreal paintings. Russian artist Leonid Tishkov has continued working on this series titled “Private Moon,” where he carries an illuminated moon sign to different locations in the world, and then takes pictures of his mobile installations. Tishkov states that his work is a visual poem “about a man who found the Moon and stayed with her for the rest of his life.” [1]
