Girl with Pearl Earring, toast by Ida Skivenes

It is kind of a crime to munch into a famous painting, but if you really had to, at least slowly bite into the damn thing to appreciate it. The “Girl with a Pearl Earring” and “The Scream” have been remade in an on-going collection by Norwegian artist Ida Skivenes, who uses various foods on toast to illustrate landscape scenes, portraits, and more. If you like her work, you should also take a peek at Hong Yi’s “Art on Plates.”
