Bodies as Landscape

Shin Knee Valley by Carl Warner

Carl Warner challenges how we view the human body in the photographic series shown here. His work is comprised of body parts organized in such a way that they resemble massive landscapes foregrounded against a neutral tinted sky. Step a few feet away from your computer screen (or hold your phone or tablet as far in front of you face as you can) and you may feel like you are looking out at some other planet. A very interesting perspective to consider the next time you think about (or look at) the human form.
