Paint on canvas, paper, and why not on books?

He calls them “Book Sculptures.” “Los Angeles native Mike Stilkey has always been attracted to painting and drawing not only on vintage paper, record covers and book pages, but on the books themselves. Using a mix of ink, colored pencil, paint and lacquer, Stilkey depicts a melancholic and at times a whimsical cast of characters inhabiting ambiguous spaces and narratives of fantasy and fairy tales.” [1]

OMG! That’s awesome! And very creative!
While the art its self was wonderful, it is a shame to see someone waste so many amazing books when there are so many more options!
Oh my god no! Ehat is he doing to those precious, wonderful books! Don’t worry my friends, one day I will rescue your hardcover beauties from this quite interesting artistic interpretation.
He gets them from the trash, so he’s basically recycling. No harm done, and it looks amazing!!
Realize that your reality is made up of what the powerful want you to realize. Everything else is up to you to figure out.
