“Technological” Sneakers
Using found objects such as typewriters, computers, and other machines, artist Garbriel Dishaw disassembles and reassembles these items to creating “Junk Art.” The top image of computer-esque sneaker is a great example of his metal work.
Notes from the Artist’s statement:
My passion for working with metal and mechanical objects has been crucial in the evolution of my art and freeing my imagination. It provides me an avenue to express myself in a way that both helps me and the environment. The metal has the ability to resonates the very fantasies and thought processes that I envision.
