Notes from the artist statement:
I am a traditional freehand silhouette artist. I work by closely observing a subject in person or profile and cutting what I see as I go. This takes immense concentration, and I am in conversation with each of my clients with the hope that I capture more than a simple shadow, but something of the spirit of a person.
