“Parallelostory” is a beautiful, poetic love story. A film animated by Kelly Meador and Daniel Elwing (a.k.a. Impactist). I’ve been an admirer of their work for some time, and have featured a number of videos at Scene 360’s Video channel.

Synopsis:

Spend a couple minutes in the multiverse and you may find it comfortable enough to participate in your own Parallelostory, which is just hip meta-universe slang for “parallel love story”. But remember, this is only one of an infinite number renderings of the same story that your dimensional alternates will have already viewed, are viewing, or will view.

I was trying to figure out if these were paintings or photographs. I found out that they’re a bit of both. Artist Teun Hocks started to paint on photos in 1973. Oil on toned gelatin silver-print. It really makes the artwork look super sharp and detailed like a photo, yet with painting over it, it softens the image like something out of a surrealist dream. Wonderful technique!

I love snow globes in glass! I actually have a collection of them from my travels. This is an art series entitled “Travelers” by Walter Martin and Paloma Muñoz. Each globe, tells a dark and mysterious story with miniature figures. The artwork reminds me of past posts: The Secrets Within the Miniature World and The Little People – A tiny street art project.
