Making Ends Meet
“Splitscreen: A Love Story” is a creative film shot entirely with a Nokia N8 mobile phone. The movie was directed by JW Griffiths, produced by Kurban Kassam, cinematography by Christopher Moon, edited by Marianne Kuopanportti, sound designed by Mauricio d’Orey, and music by Lennert Busch.
Notes about the director (from bio):
I developed a love of filmmaking through early experiments in animation. I soon moved into live action films where my first success was achieved when I sold a travel video to Lonely Planet. In 2008 I applied to the Editing course at the National Film and Television School to hone my skills in storytelling. I finished the course having edited a wide range of films and having directed a number of commercials – one of which screened in cinemas nationwide. As well as editing and directing I am currently developing an animated short film for production in the summer.
